Salvatore Giunta, Italian American Congressional Medal of Honor

Sergeant Paratrooper Salvatore Giunta - from the State of Iowa but quite evident Italian origins - the U.S. Army will be the first living Congressional Medal of Honor War against terrorism.
The facts which the contribution relates back to 2007 when it belonged to the patrol sergeant was made subject to ambush, Sergeant was hit by a shot but was saved thanks to the ballistic plates, put away two fellow soldiers and then, making account that the enemy was seized injured his department, he attacked the enemy by forcing him to abandon the only prisoner who died shortly after from his injuries.
